Via Ferrata El Chorro - Alora - Malaga

One of the most spectacular Via Ferrata in the province of Malaga. The route is located in the Desfiladero de los Gaitanes Natural Park.

Mountaineering

There are more than 1,000 climbing routes in the area for mountaineers, so it is a true climbing mecca in Europe. Steep rock walls and crevices alternate.

Kayaking

You can enjoy kayaking on the reservoirs.

Mountain biking

There are plenty of mountain bike trails where you can enjoy the beautiful nature.

Paragliding

Depending on the weather and flight conditions, there are many beautiful places in the area: Valle de Abdalajis, Sierra Luijar, Algodonales, Motellano, El Bosque, Herradura, Teba and Cenes de la Viega in the Sierra Nevada.

Caminito del Rey

The nearby “Koningspad” is an attractive walk. To get to the start of the Caminito, at the old power station, you first walk through a pedestrian tunnel and then through the forest.

Cantera

A nice long mountain walk on a well-maintained path. In a short time you have reached an altitude of about 1000m.

La Huma

You drive to a starting point at the foot of the La Huma. Via a gravel path you walk through the pass, between La Huma and Sierra de Valle de Abdalajis, to the north side of the mountain range.

Torcal Antequera

The El Torcal area is made up of spectacular sandstone rock formations, shaped over thousands of years into a spectacular lunar landscape. 200,000,000 years ago it was still the seabed.

Escalera Arabe

Between 700-1492 the Arabs (Moors) were settled in Andalusia. Remains of the stairs date from this period. The walk starts above Las Angosturas.

Vulture nests

From the lakes you take a walk to a high point. From there you have a good view of the vulture nests. The vultures have young and with a bit of luck you can spot them.

Tajo del Molino

The Tajo del Molino or Tajo de Torró as it is known in Teba, which is not more than three kilometers away, is a slightly curved parade, perfectly formed, which resembles the work of an engineer more than Mother Nature.

We take a walk on and around the site of Cortijo dos Santos on the edge of Sierra de Valle Abdalajis.

Dolmenes de Antequera

Dolmenes de Antequera (Hunebeds), these prehistoric funerary monuments over 4,000 years old are Europe's best preserved remains of the Bronze Age. Corridors, rooms and other spaces have been made with large blocks of stone.

Ronda

The very well-preserved town, one of the oldest in Spain, is situated at 740m altitude on a rocky outcrop and is divided into an old and a new part by the famous 18th century Puenta Nuevo bridge over a deep ravine.
